The celebration of onions and a trip to Bear Lake

So since it is finally starting to feel like fall I figured I better tell you about our end of summer festivities. If you are from Payson you know that Labor day weekend is when Payson has the best summer celebration in the state of Utah. I think the reason I look forward to it so much every year is just being able to spend time with family and friends with one last hoorah before fall. We got to ride to the fireworks in the Fire Engine and home from them on the top of the Fire Truck, have my Dad's annual Onion Days breakfast, go to the parade and last but not least take the boys to the carnie. It was a blast and Hailey and Craig even came from Arizona which made it even better.













We usual go on a annual trip to Bear Lake with the Penick family and we just love it there. Since we didn't get to go with the Penick's this year we decided to pack up out tent trailer and head up to the KOA for a few days. It wasn't the nice condo we were used to but we still had a blast. We also didn't know that Garden City pretty much shuts down after Labor day so there wasn't as much to do as we thought. We enjoyed North Beach, rode bikes, jumped on the jumping pillow at the KOA, got a raspberry shake at the ONE place that was open, swam in the pool (before they turned off the heater and closed it the second day we were there) played foosball and watched Nacho Libre every night. It was some much needed family time and we can't wait to go again next year!
































We will sure miss summer but are so excited for fall and the upcoming holidays!
